Ryan Lucas is here

He is playing Gun on the TV while I write my progress reports. It's really not a hard thing for me to do, it's just tiring. Easier than writing an essay, surely-- all I have to do is remark upon how my students did this time around, and all of them have some strengths and weaknesses. I like these kids, all of 'em, even the ones that're hard to deal with. They all shine through sometimes, in some context or another.

This weekend was supposed to be restful. I dunno what I was thinking. There's so much work to do around the apartment and so much prep to do... But hey, at least I'm being productive. I'm a little more than halfway through these reports, and really all I have to do for Monday is... nothing, really. I have a lot of stuff I have to get done for the end of the week, and not a lot of time in which I'm going to be able to do it.

We're going to the Science Center on Tuesday! Brilliant! If only Tuesday wasn't my free day to do prep and filing and progress etc. etc. oh well.

Kari and Ryan and I went to see Nightmare Before Christmas 3D last night, and I'll say again what I told all my friends last year when I saw it with Anthony and Ted: by the end of the film, you really think it was always in 3D, it's so subtle and well-done. Nothing feels tacked on, nothing is gimmicky. It's astonishing.

Dinner tomorrow with my folks at their house. My old house. Whatever.

Hope all are well. Back to progress reports.

I envy you about as much as I miss you, sir. Which is quite a lot. I wanted to let you know I have one of these things now (damn you and your trendsetting!). Follow the bread crumbs, me dear. ;o)

Also...this is Erin. I realized that my name was in no way connected with my comment.
