Two separate issues related to fire

The first is that I fell asleep on the beach yesterday (don't be jealous, it was kinda chilly, though Exmouth is nice) and as a result the backs of my legs are horribly burned, a result of the radiation that comes from our malevolent, malevolent sun. I did pretty well with the sunscreen, except for forgetting my legs (and not intending to fall asleep), and I'm really worried more about the carcinogenic implications of radiation than I am about the pain.

That said, the pain is horrible. Walking is not a happy experience.

The other fire related issue is my inability to really "get into" the second GBA "Fire Emblem" (well, second to be released in the States. I'm talking Sacred Stones here). Gameplay wise, it's very similar to the first, and it's not like there's anything wrong with the plot... I don't know. Maybe there're too many characters, or the characters aren't cool enough, or something. When I tried to play it the first time I got to the twelve chapter and stopped, and now my interest is waning at about the same point. Curiously, I'm very excited to pick up the GC entry in the series when I get home.

I'm done with all academic work except the Kenyon essay, and I still have to prepare for these plays. I think I'm going to sit in my room today and rest my lobster-red limbs, however.

I love Jon Stewart and his show that airs daily. I like to remain politically informed, too, even though half of it is aggravating and the other half of it is maddening. Seriously, there's nothing to be happy about in politics today, Mr. Stewart's caustic wit excepted.

Psyched to come home. Three weeks! Wow, that really seems short. I have some partying to do in the interim! Ugh, as soon as my burns heal.
