And, of course

I was flipping through the hard copy of The Silence today that I got at Kinko's last night, and of course the thoughts that were going through my head were "this doesn't make any sense, this isn't a coherent narrative, this is all just a bunch of mediocre mumbo-jumbo."

Probably not the case, but it certainly affirms what I've been suspecting, which is that I'm not really going to be able to comment on it objectively until I've let it sit for a few months and go back to it. Sad, but probably true.

Ah well. I will have to see what the students think of it.
