Flawless... victory?

I'm tired, and I'm not really ready for a real and intelligent update to this, but I think it's worth mentioning that according to The Magic Box, Famitsu magazine has given Final Fantasy XII a perfect score of 40/40. Famitsu is a notoriously tough grader, and in the magazine's twenty year history only five other titles have earned a perfect score.

Now, admittedly, the Japanese have a different taste in videogames than Americans, and if you take a look at the other 40 scorers this becomes somewhat evident (they are, I believe: Ocarina of Time, Wind Waker, Soul Caliber, Vagrant Story, and Nintendogs). However, for those of us who had become extremely skeptical of the latest installment in our favorite series because of apparently drastic changes being exacted on the franchise... This is a big thing.

I'm still wary of FFXII, and I'm far more excited for the newest installment in Square Enix's other big franchise (Kingdom Hearts), but still... A forty out of forty? Intense.
